FINAL PROFESSION

On the 9th February, 4 young men from Marist College, Suva, made their Perpetual Profession in the Society of Mary. This was held in the Chapel of St Peter Chanel, Pacific Regional Seminary, Suva, Fiji. It was a joyful occasion witnessed by the Marists around Suva, families who came from the Islands, friends and well wishers. The young men are preparing now for their ordination to deaconate.

FAREWELL FR MICHAEL JOHN FRANCIS FITZGERALD SM RIP

The Archbishop, Marists, the Marist family, Clergies and Religious, Past Pupils of St John’s Cawaci, the Pacific Regional Seminary, a sister and nephews and nieces from NZ, and sympathizers bid farewell to Fr Michael Fitzgerald sm by a Vigil Mass on Thursday 14th and his Requiem Mass on Friday 15th. He was laid to rest in the Old Suva Cemetery. Born: 14 Sept 1946, Professed: 14 Jan 1967, Ordained: 30 June 1971, Died 11 Feb 2019,
Buried 15 Feb 201.

Fr Michael Fitzgerald was a Marist for 52 years and a priest for 48 years. Apart from 1 year at St Mary's Church, Blenheim, NZ, the rest of his years was spent as a missionary in the Fiji Islands. May He Rest In Peace.
